We have recently decided to liven up the Jessamine County Senior Citizens Center to reflect the seniors personalities. For the past 10 years, the interior of the center has been painted an institutional gray color. We have decided to make the center more "homey" and use yellows, greens, and some purple. We have started the project and the seniors love the renovation so far. We are in need of volunteers to help finish the painting. All of the paint has been bought, it just needs to be applied to the walls.
Colors have been proven to stimulate socialization and enhance well being.

There is no training. It may help to have painted the interior of a building before. The volunteer opportunity will go from now, until the painting is completed.

From Lexington you will take Nicholasville Road towards Nicholasville. Take the Wilmore/Nicholasville by-pass exit. Go left of the ramp and head towards Nicholasville. You will go approximately .5 miles before you see Werner Elementary. Turn Left at Werner on Hoover Drive. Come straight back, we are the last building on the left.
