Every year over half a million of our nation’s children reside in foster care or out of home placements. Most have been abused and/or neglected in the very place they should be the most safe, their own homes. CASA volunteers are ordinary citizens who are committed to doing what is best for a child. All of our volunteers must complete a structured 30 hour training class. They must also pass a criminal background check, be 21 years of age and commit to a year of service. They are trained by us (at no cost) in courtroom procedure, the social services system, juvenile justice system and the special needs of abused and neglected children. We strive to provide volunteers who come from all cultures, ethnic, educational and financial backgrounds . This opportunity is sponsored by: CASA Of Madison County, Inc. Volunteers will work with the following groups
