     Tutor Training Workshop Education

Spring 2008 Tutor Training Workshops are scheduled for:
ESL - June 9, 10, 11, and 12, 2008 at the Project Read Office located at 419 A Gibson Lane in Richmond, KY. Sessions begin at 6:00 p.m. each evening and end at 9:00 p.m.
Basic - June 16, 17, 18 and 19, 2008 at the Madison County Public Library located at 319 Chestnut Street in Berea, KY. Sessions begin at 6:00 p.m. each evening and end at 9:00 p.m. There is no cost for either workshop; however, tutors can purchase a $15.00 manual to keep for their own use. Please call 623-4905 to register. Registration will be capped at 12 for each workshop unless special circumstances are present.
Certified tutors will be assigned either a Basic or an ESL student.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and have successfully completed high school or its equivalent. All interested volunteers are invited to participate. We do not invite court ordered volunteers without a background check.

 From 421/25, turn onto Boggs Lane, then onto Gibson Lane. Project Read is in the first office of the third building (tan) on the right. Our sign is on the side of the building. From the EKU By-Pass, turn onto Boggs Lane, then onto Gibson Lane.
  Nearest Bus Stop: If clients give a 24 hour notice to Kentucky River Foothills Transportation--(859)-624-3236--the bus will pick them up at their bus stop and take them to the Project Read office.
