![]() Classroom volunteers needed
![]() Junior Achievement, the leader in K-12 economic education programs, is seeking volunteers for the 2007-08 school year for schools in Fayette and surrounding counties. Volunteers utilize JA's fun and hands-on materials to teach business and economic concepts to students. JA volunteers teach students basic economic concepts, emphasize the connections between education and success, and serve as role models. Elementary programs consist of five one hour classroom sessions, while middle and high school programs require a commitment of 6-12 sessions depending on the program. Volunteers must complete a one-and-a-half hour training session and a background check. This opportunity is sponsored by: Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass, Inc.
