Junior Achievement, the leader in K-12 economic education programs, is seeking volunteers for the 2007-08 school year for schools in Fayette and surrounding counties. Volunteers utilize JA's fun and hands-on materials to teach business and economic concepts to students. JA volunteers teach students basic economic concepts, emphasize the connections between education and success, and serve as role models. Elementary programs consist of five one hour classroom sessions, while middle and high school programs require a commitment of 6-12 sessions depending on the program.

Teachers love JA and request our programs because they bring fresh faces into the classroom to teach students economic concepts and real world applications.

Volunteers must complete a one-and-a-half hour training session and a background check.
