The volunteer, on a specific day, will pick up donated food and deliver to several sites in Lexington. You may chose among several assignments. There are many retail stores in Lexington that have excess food and just need a conveyance to the various feeding sites ( Salvation Army, Senior Citizens Centers, Men's and Women's Hope Centers ) All volunteers must have a valid driver's license and a vehicle for food transport. Usually a volunteer is assigned one pick up a week. A volunteer may choose to do more if he/she wishes. We only ask that volunteers be consistent and do their pick up in a timely manner.
