     Community volunteers needed in Eastern Kentucky Teen Options

Have you ever thought of setting aside some time each week or even monthly to volunteer in your local community? If you have but aren't sure where to turn we might be just what you've been waiting for.
The Christian Appalachian Project, an interdenominational, non-profit Christian organization, has been serving families in poverty in Eastern Kentucky for more than 40 years. Some of the areas of service include:
bus monitors, home repair, visiting the elderly, assisting with pre-school, assisting persons with disabilities and much more...

Volunteers must be at least eighteen years of age, flexible, cheerful and enjoy working with people. We will send an application to those who are interested. The application process also includes an interview and an orientation to our mission.

Volunteers will work with the following groups
Adolescents (13-17)  Low-income / Poverty
Adults (26-54)  Men
Children (5-12)  Older Adults (55+)
Disabled / Ill  Students
Families / Parents  Women
Infants / Preschoolers (0-4)  Young Adults (18-25)
We need volunteers who are free at these times
Weekdays  Weekly

From Berea, KY, take US-25 South approximately 15 miles. The Volunteer Program office is just past McNew Monuments Company, on the left-hand side.
