Ask any artist...sometimes space to create is more valuable than money. Through its management of ArtsPlace and the Downtown Arts Center (DAC), LexArts provides space for artists and arts organizations to rehearse, perform and exhibit their work. In addition, both venues offer office space to qualified arts organizations at affordable rental rates well below market cost. Arts organizations such as the Lexington Philharmonic, Lexington Ballet, Central Kentucky Youth Orchestras and Actors Guild of Lexington take advantage of this opportunity so their limited resources might be spent on productions rather than on rent. Through a unique partnership with the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, LexArts manages these facilities for the benefit of all people in Lexington and central Kentucky.
