HERC's mission is to promote fair and equal housing opportunities for all Capitol Region residents.

Description:
The Housing Education Resource Center has operated numerous housing related programs in its 22 years of service. Current programs include: mobility assistance to families receiving rental subsidies, home-ownership counseling for low and moderate income households, and our award winning Landlord/Tenant Counseling Program. These programs are unique to HERC and serve otherwise unmet areas of need. HERC has earned its well established reputation of high quality service and reliable professionalism through the comprehensive programs and dedicated staff members that service our clients.

History:
HERC is a private non-profit agency that has been in operation since 1980. The agency has expanded from a 2 person operation to 8.
