Lawyers Without Borders is headed to Kenya, Mozambique, Liberia, Rwanda, Uganda and Sierra Leone in connection with assessments and projects in development in those regions. Our work in these areas is "pre-funding" which means that there are no grants to cover the travel which enable us to assess the problem and develop the programming to address it. LWOB flies Delta or its partners as much as possible.
Donations of Frequent Flyer miles to American Express or to DELTA AIRLINE , are critical for this project and help us preserve our resources for direct project expense.
Themes of our projects in these regions deal with: Child Inheritance Rights, Anti-Trafficking in People, domestic and gender based violence.
This is a really meaningful "low cost" way to make a serious contribution to our efforts to make a difference in the world. If you can't see the problem first hand, you can't truly develop an appropriate solution to it.
