Arc Rehab assists people with disabilities and special needs to reach his or her maximum potential in partnership with the community.
Description:
Arc Rehab services has four divisions. For adults, Mainstreet Enterprises provides work skill training for individuals who are not as of yet able to enter the local job market. This is accomplished through tasks and jobs obtained from local business and performed under the supervision of trained staff. Job Connection assists local companies in making job matches between job openings in their company and people with disabilities. PCS (Personal and Community Services) provides training for independence in daily life skills such as navigating and accessing local community activities, money handling, art, exercise, safety practices, etc. For Children and families, WIC - (Women, Infants, Children)Provides supplemental food for income eligible families. Arc Rehab Services is nationally accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehab Facilities.
History:
Arc Rehab Services has been advocating and providing services for people with disabilities and others in need since 1970. A group of parents came together in the 1960's to try to provide meaningful adult experiences for their son or daughter with a disability. After considerable discussion and research, Arc Rehab Services was born. A location was obtained and four individuals were initially served with over 150 being served on a daily basis today.
