Description:
Agape Therapeutic Riding Center provides therapeutic horseback riding to individuals with disabilities. Our center provides therapeutic riding classes to school groups and individuals Monday-Thursday mornings, afternoons and evenings, and Friday mornings. The school groups serviced by Agape are from over 19 school systems as well as two state schools. Our riders come from Hamilton county as well as ten surrounding counties. The program also promotes early intervention and provides classes to preschool aged children from the various school systems.
History:
Agape was founded in 1986 by Cheryl and Jerry Miller of Cicero. We are a premier Accredited center through North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA)Agape has provided summer riding program at Camp Riley-Bradford Woods, Martinsville, Indiana since 1986. This unique program provides a form of therapy beneficial to those who are physically, cognitively or emotionally impaired, as well as youth at risk. Agape uses horses as assistants to heal in an atmosphere of God's unconditional love. We are one of the largest therapeutic riding centers, serving riders throughout central Indiana.
