Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis is a member of Boys & Girls of America, a youth guidance organization that has been changing young lives since 1860. Today, the organization has 3,000 Clubs, serving more than 3.3 million youth nationally.
Club programming addresses every aspect of young people's physical, emotional, social and cultural needs, including Character and Leadership Development, Educational and Career Development, Health and Life Skills, the Arts and Sports, Fitness and Recreation. BGCI is changing lives and investing in the future of our children as well as our community.
History:
Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis was founded in 1893 to provide after-school activities for young boys. In 1990, we began providing programs and services to girls. Since its inception, BGCI has become the area’s leader in serving Indianapolis children, reaching nearly 12,000 youth annually through our ten Club facilities, school-based Clubs, residential summer camp and community programs.
