Lutheran Child and Family Services of Indiana/Kentucky (LCFS) is a faith-based service organization dedicated to serving human needs through programs of compassionate care and counsel to enhance the dignity and quality of life. LCFS promotes positive healing relationships, making a commitment to deliver second to none services. We serve children and families through programs such as:

- Lutherwood Residential Treatment Center & School

- Independent Living
- Sharing Place Ministries
History:
Founded as an orphanage by a small group of German Lutherans in 1883, Lutheran Child & Family Services of Indiana/Kentucky (LCFS) has offered programs of care and counsel to children and families for more than 120 years. LCFS is a multi-service, nonprofit 501(c)(3) member agency of United Way of Central Indiana. The agency is a recognized service provider of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. It is a member of the Child Welfare League of America, accredited by the Council on Accreditation, and a member of Lutheran Services in America.
