Girls Incorporated of Indianapolis and Girls Incorporated of Hamilton County is inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold!

Description:
Research-based, age-appropriate, and gender-specific programs are delivered by teams of volunteer facilitators at a variety of community outreach locations throughout Marion County. As an affiliate of the national Girls Incorporated organization, we access carefully researched programs focusing on the special assets and needs of girls, ages 6 -18. Our programs focus on three core areas: Strong, Healthy Relationships, Smart College and Career Planning, and Bold, Empowered Girls. Learn more at www.girlsincindy.org.

History:
Since 1969, Girls Incorporated of Indianapolis has reached out to thousands of Indianapolis girls with strong, smart, and bold programs. A recent study published by the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research states that suburban and urban girls alike have many of the same issues concerning drugs, sex, alcohol and delinquent behavior. To meet the needs of girls living in suburban communities, we launched Girls Incorporated of Hamilton County in 2006.
