Caring Hospice Services is a unique, holistic service designed to meet social, emotional and spiritual, as well as the physical needs of patients and families as they face illness. Our mission is to coordinate patient and family service while respecting their choices, values and beliefs.
Description:
Hospice is a special kind of care designed to provide sensitivity and support for people in the final phase of a terminal illness. Hospice care seeks to enable patients to carry on an alert, pain-free life and to manage other symptoms so that their last days may be spend with dignity and quality at home or in a home like setting. Nurses, social workers, chaplains, home health aides, volunteers and the patient's own physician work in concert with the family caregivers to support the patient as a whole person with focus on comfort care - not cure. Our services also include bereavement counselors and alternative therapies (e.g. massage). We are committed to educating the community regarding hospice philosophy and multi-disciplinary standards of care.
History:
Caring Hospice Services was established in 1997 in Ambler, PA. We are medicare/medicaid certified and JCAHO accredited. Presently, we have four locations - Ft. Washington, PA; Mt. Laurel, NJ; Edison, NJ and Brooklyn, NY.
