The mission of the Jersey Battered Women's Service, Inc. (JBWS) is the prevention of domestic violence, the rehabilitation of families experiencing domestic violence, and the education of the public about domestic violence and its consequences. Domestic violence includes physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, or threats of the above.

Description:
JBWS provides emergency temporary shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children. JBWS also provides counseling and education programs for non-resident victims, their children, and batterers; legal advocacy; community education; teen dating violence education; and transitional living options for those who qualify.
