The American Lung Association is dedicated to the prevention of lung disease and the promotion of lung health.
Description:
Located in Union New Jersey, the American Lung Association serves the entire state of New Jersey. Our initiatives include smoking cessation for school age children and adults. In addition, we provide asthma and lung health education and awareness, and information through our help center for people who suffer from any lung disease. We run a number of special events, including the "Blow the Whistle On Asthma" walk, to raise funds to continue our efforts in advocacy, education and research.
History:
The American Lung Association has over 100 years of service to the community regarding lung health. Beginning with the fight to end Tuberculosis and Black Lung. In 2006, we have grown to overcome asthma and all lung disease, including the third largest cancer killer in the country, lung cancer.
