The mission of the South Worcester Neighborhood Improvement Corporation, better known as the South Worcester Neighborhood Center, is to 'build neighborhoods'. Our vision is to improve the quality of life of residents in our neighborhood. We try to provide you with the tools and environment to make life better for yourself, your family, and your business.
Description:
We have been in operation for over 36 years and have provided needed helping services to this community such as parent skill building, leadership development, job creation, planning and youth programs, many of which have received statewide recognition. As of 2002, we expanded our efforts to include the construction of affordable housing, and increased our economic development program to address physical and human development needs in the community. No doubt you have seen some physical changes in the neighborhood with our construction of several new housing units. More neighborhood improvements can be anticipated. Local business partners and neighborhood residents can expect to be notified of community engagement meetings.
