Parents Helping Parents is a grassroots organization that for over 35 years has been dedicated to improving the lives of families by providing support to parents. We need volunteers to provide child care during our weekly parent support group meetings in Allston, Cambridge, Walpole, Marlborough, Framingham, Ayer and Braintree. Many parents require on-site childcare in order to attend group meetings- help these parents gain valuable support and encouragement from other parents.

Overall Experience    Experience rating
Being a volunteer facilitator has been meaningful and fulfilling.
I volunteer as a facilitator for Parents Helping Parents. I meet weekly at a women's prison group to talk about parenting issues with the residents. I received excellent training and support from the organization, and there is always someone available to discuss issues with that take place in my group. I have learned a lot about group dynamics, improved my listening and reflecting skills, and how to let people take responsibility for their own solutions to problems.
