Adult Basic Education Tutor

The Career Resource Center is a program of Alternatives Unlimited, Inc. located in Milford Massachusetts. The Career Resource Center assists individuals with disabilities in their pursuit of education and employment. We are seeking tutors for individuals working on either adult basic education or taking college level classes.

This is a great opportunity for retired or aspiring teachers, or anyone else looking to contribute to their community and enhance another’s quality of life.

As a tutor you would prepare lesson plans and correct homework and other assignments. Tutoring sessions might include reviewing basic grammar, writing skills, or basic arithmetic. We provide the materials and textbooks! We also provide training and ongoing support.

To help you feel comfortable and confident, you can collaborate with one of our Career Counselors before engaging in one-on-one tutoring sessions. We will also provide regular opportunities for you to check-in with staff throughout your experience.
