Share what you know and love with the children of Worcester! WHO: Any individual or group with skills to share with young people aged 11-14! WHAT: Teach your profession or hobby in after-school apprenticeships. No teaching experience is necessary! All Citizen Schools volunteers receive intensive training and are supported by a full-time, professional educator every step of the way. Lawyers turn their apprentices into prosecutors, cooks help apprentices create healthy culinary delights, artists cultivate young muralists, and gardeners lead a team of twelve-year-old green thumbs. WHEN: Volunteers teach weekly 90-minute learning projects for 11 afternoons. The fall session begins in late August and ends in mid-December. WHERE: Citizen Schools runs at the University Park Campus School at 12 Freeland Street in Worcester. HOW: Visit www.citizenschools.org/volunteer or call Melissa Rouette at 617.695.2300 ext. 309 or e-mail Massachusetts@citizenschools.org.
