 The United Way of Central Maryland has an immediate opening in the Marketing department for a Special Events Intern. If you are an energetic and enthusiastic team player and enjoy event planning, this is the opportunity for you. Key Responsibilities: ·Assist with staffing and coordinating meetings and events ·Input and update data in project databases ·Provide administrative support (drafting letters, organizing mailings) ·Research and recommend promotional materials for special events ·Update our Calendar of Events ·Research potential sponsorship opportunities Upcoming events include Towsontown Spring Festival, Artscape and the Baltimore Running Festival. Requirements: The ideal candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet-based research and have good oral and written communication skills. Candidates must be enrolled in a college or university. Course credit is available. Minimum time requirement is 10 hours per week, but scheduling is very flexible.
