The mission of Peace Neighborhood Center is to provide programs for children, families, and individuals who are affected by social and economic problems. Peace Neighborhood Center helps people discover options, enhance skills, develop positive attitudes, and make choices that lead to self-sufficency.

Description:
Peace Neighborhood Center is a wrap-around human service agency that offers assistance to individuals and families through youth programs, substance abuse recovery and prevention support, advocacy, emergency assistance, and employment services.

History:
Peace Neighborhood Center was founded in 1971 as a community-based, grassroots, nonprofit organization serving the needs of a small population on Ann Arbor's west side. The limited services offered by Peace Neighborhood Center in 1971 have grown through the past 32 years to become a comprehensive resource for not only Ann Arbor's west side community, but Washtenaw County as a whole. Peace Neighborhood Center has been recognized by both local and national organizations, and recently has completed a $2.2 capital campaign to expand and renovate its program building.
