Wisconsin Family Ties is a statewide not for profit organization run by families for families that include children and adolescents who have emotional, behavioral, and mental disorders.
Description:
'1 in Every 5' - One in every five children and adolescents who appear healthy on the outside, suffer mental health problems on the inside. Unfortunately, many get inappropriate services or no treatment at all. *With early detection and appropriate treatment chances are excellent that children with mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders can lead productive lives. *Left untreated these disorders can limit a child's success in obtaining an education, holding a job, living independently, and forming happy and healthy relationships. *Recognizing problems for what they are is the first step to ensuring young people get the help they need. Challenging behavior may be a warning sign of mental health needs. *Seeking help for your child can mean all the difference in your child's overall health and well-being. *There are no easy answers and that is why Wisconsin Family Ties is here to help - without judgment because we have been there too.
