Our mission at Walbridge School is to be the best possible school for all students. Our goal is to have every student reach his or her fullest potential through individualized teaching techniques for each individual student. We focus on and specialize in ADHD, dyslexia, other reading and learning disabilities, and giftedness.
Description:
Walbridge School is a non-profit, full-day educational institution of grades one through twelve which provides individualized learning styles to students who need different teaching techniques other than those provided in mainstream school systems. We recognize and respect the individual differences of children and are devoted to matching teaching styles of teachers with the individual learning processes of each student. This technique assures development of academic skills, strong learning behaviors, and positive self-esteem. Students who discover "how to learn" recognize their strengths, develop confidence, and can realize more fully their human potential.
History:
Walbridge School has its beginnings in January of 1986 and was founded by Allan and Kathy Beauchaine. With no affiliations to public or private institutions, Walbridge survives on tuition and donations from generous donars and grant opportunities. This year, 2007, is the first year of our high school curriculum which will add to the previous 20 years of educational success.
