Our mission is to provide educational opportunities to people of all ages so everyone will have a better understanding of where their food comes from, how to grow flowers and vegetables easily. We wish to further the knowledge the public has of soils, plants and the environment.
Description:
We are an outreach teaching and demonstration garden that works with people of all ages to teach plant science, plant growth and science fun in the garden. We are also a site for trialing and demonstration of new flowers and vegetables. The teaching and demonstration garden holds night walks, field days and special programs through out the summer for the public. All of our activities are free to the public and the garden is open 7 days a week, from dawn to dusk. One can take self-guided tours at any time. We are part of the University systems Research Stations. There are 12 across the state of WI.
