The Madison Trust for Historic Preservation is a nonprofit organization established in 1974 to help preserve the architectural and historical heritage of the greater Madison area through advocacy and education.
Description:
The Trust has a working all-volunteer board of 12 people whom, while not all in the architecture field, have a common interest in the historic built environment. The Trust has over 200 members. It regularly offers historic walking tours, lectures and other programs, and works with the city and state to preserve historic buildings.
History:
Established in 1974, all volunteer ever since.
