Girls Incorporated is a non-profit that offers a wide variety of programming for girls grades 4-12. The foremost objective of Girls Incorporated is to encourage these young women in all areas of their lives and support their positive developmen--to inspire them to be strong, smart, and bold!
Description:
Our activities include, but are not limited to, academic support, exercise and fitness, community service projects, discussion groups and both educational and recreational field trips. Though all girls living in the Madison area are eligible to participate in Girls Inc., the program targets lower-income, at risk girls. These girls face the same issues as other 9-17 year old however, they are compounded by poverty, racism, and cultural barriers.
