The Catholic Multicultural Center serves as an outreach of the Diocese of Madison. We provide programs that serve the pastoral, educational, and social needs of the community we serve. We are trying to make Dane county a better place; one person at a time.
Description:
The Catholic Multicultural Center strives to serve the whole person. We do this by first meeting immediate needs and than offering people classes and an opportunity to enrich the lives.
We meet immediate needs through:
*Free Meal Program
*Food Pantry
*Parish Nurse
*Social Worker on staff
We help people enrich their lives through:
*ESL classes
*Childcare during most adult classes
*An open computer lab and classes that form regularly
*Employment help
We serve the poor and the growing number of Hispanic/Latino Families in our neighborhood, the city, the county, and beyond.
History:
The Catholic Multicultural Center was opened in December of 2002 to bring together programs that served the needs of the local neighborhood and worked for social justice. Two of these programs were the Guadalupe Center and St. Martin House. Please see our website for additional information and history.
