Description: Black Hawk Council serves over 9,000 girls ages 5 - 17 years and more than 2200 adults from all socio-economic, ethnic, religious, rural and city populations. The Girl Scout program is a continuous adventure in learning that offers every girl a broad range of activities which addresses both her current interests and her future role as a woman. Through activities that stimulate self-discovery, girls are introduced to the excitement in the worlds of science, the arts, the out-of-doors, and people. Girls grow in skill and in self-confidence. They have fun, they make new friends, and through meaningful community service they acquire understanding about themselves and others.
History: Juliette Gordon Low founded Girl Scouts of the USA. She organized the first group of girls March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia. GSUSA was incorporated in Washington D.C. June 10, 1915, and chartered by the United States Congress, March 16, 1950. Lillian Jackson organized the Madison Council of Girl Scouts with 236 members on December 28, 1927. On March 16, 1950, the United States Congress chartered Black Hawk Council.

Turn right on Ski Lane
The Girl Scout Center is the Second building on the left
Heading West on Betline:
Exit 262, Rimrock Road, Left on Rimrock.
Stay on Rimrock Rd., Go through the lights until you reach a stop sign at MM (Oregon Rd.)
Turn Right on MM
Go two short blocks (go slow or you may miss the turn, if you miss Ski Lane you will end up on Hwy 14 going back unto Madison and you will have to get back on the Beltline and try again)
Turn right on Ski Lane
The Girl Scout Center is the Second building on the left
