RSVP provides "one-stop shopping" for volunteers 55 and older looking to make a difference in Dane County. RSVP offers personalized placement in order to deliver priority services to people of all ages, providing Dane County with a valuable resource.
Description: RSVP offers a wide range of opportunities including: Intergenerational Programs (serving children and youth), Driver Services (providing transportation to medical appointments for older adults as well as delivering home delivered meals in rural Dane County), Community Referrals (placements with nearly 100 non-profit agencies), and Group Projects (handmade products distributed to children and adults through social service systems).
Staff meet with volunteers to match their skills and interests with volunteer jobs throughout Dane County. Personalized orientation and ongoing follow up is provided to assure volunteer satisfaction.
History: RSVP of Dane County has a 35-year history of providing personalized placement services for volunteers 55 and older. Today more than 215 non-profit and governmental agencies rely on RSVP's 2000 volunteers for a broad range of services.
