The Salvation Army of Dane County Center is a local administrative and social service unit of
The International Salvation Army. Our mission is to administer the operation of The Salvation Army in Dane County, to meet human needs in the name of Jesus Christ, without discrimination and to support the operation of the Madison Temple Corps.

Description:
In 1890, The Salvation Army of Dane County embarked on a mission to meet human needs in God's name without discrimination. During that time it has responded to these needs in countless ways from housing the poor to feeding rescue workers and from teaching adults financial responsibility to providing children a safe place to play. It has also expanded its ministry in ways such as the Family Stabilization Program and Holly House. These efforts and the efforts of similar groups have helped to make this community a happier and safer place to live for people of all walks of life, races, ages and creeds; however, it is only throught the support of this community that our efforts can be realized. Without the generous assistance of our many volunteers and donors our services would simply cease to exist, creating a void which could not be otherwise filled. It is only through your giving of time, money and energy that this tradition of people helping people can be maintained.
