The West Madison Senior Coalitions' mission is to help older adults in the community live independently for as long as possible. The Coalition has programs and services to achieve this goal and to enrich the lives of older adults. These programs include our Westside Senior Center, case management, nutrition sites, the home chore volunteer program, low vision support group and health sreening clinics.

Description:
The Madison Coalition of Older Adults Home Chore Program was developed in 1986 to assist with basic home chores to help older adults remain independent and in their own homes. Since that first year the program has grown to include not only individual volunteers, but also groups from businesses and other organizations that are interested in doing volunteer projects for and with older adults. The program has also expanded into the Madison high schools.

History:
The West Madison Senior Coalition Inc., is a non profit organization governed by a local Board of Directors. Incorporated in 1975, our purpose is to empower and assist older adults to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. The Coalition is funded by the City of Madison, Dane County, United Way of Dane County and individual donations. We are a resource for services for older adults on Madison's Westside community.
