The mission of Children's Service Society is to build, sustain, and enhance a nurturing environment for Wisconsin children. To ensure this goal, CSSW endeavors to create and make readily available quality programs and services to children, youth, and their families without regard to race, religion, sex or economic circumstances. In addition, CSSW advocates public policies and attempts to secure funding for programs and services aimed at enriching the lives of Wisconsin children.
Description:
CSSW is a statewide agency with local offices. CSSW provides programming in the following areas:
Family Counseling, Treatment Foster Care, Special Needs Adoptions, Family Resource Centers, Supervised Visitation. Volunteers are utilized in the Families and Schools Together (FAST) Program.
History:
CSSW was established in 1889 as an adoption program. Since then it has responded to the needs of local communities.
