The Grassroots Leadership College develops neighborhood and community leaders by building skills and relationships in a supportive challenging environment.
Description:
The Grassroots Leadership College, a collaborative effort of the Northside Planning Council, East Isthmus Neighborhoods Planning Council, and South Metropolitan Planning Council, is designed to help emerging leaders across Madison develop the skills necessary to support and strengthen their neighborhoods and community. The Grassroots Leadership College matches developing leaders with skilled volunteer coaches from throughout the community to work together on projects and take part in leadership development classes oriented toward developing strong neighborhoods and community.
History:
The Grassroots Leadership College is the first major collaborative effort of the Northside Planning Council, East Isthmus Neighborhoods Planning Council, and South Metropolitan Planning Council. The College begins its pilot semester on April 10th, 2003
