YMCA Mission: The YMCA of Dane County, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization responding to the needs of families in Dane County by providing quality programs which embody values that emphasize healthy life-styles for the spirit, mind and body.

Description:
The YMCA of Dane County utilizes over 800 volunteers to run activities in various programs throughout the community. Volunteers have the opportunity to be coaches, chaperones, mentors and role models. Individual volunteer opportunities are available in adaptive recreation/Special Olympics, aquatics, fitness, member services, nursery/child care, teens, youth sports. Group opportunities are also available through participation in YMCA family events that are offered throughout the year. Through various YMCA experiences, staff and volunteers emphasize the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
