Family Enhancement works with parents to strengthen families so that children will become healthy, capable, and responsible adults, ready to raise and support future generations of children.

Family Enhancement believes that families are the cornerstone for healthy growth and development of children. We work throughout the community to improve parenting skills for children and their families. We believe time and resources spent to strengthen family functioning will ultimately reduce long term costs to society.

Description:
Family Enhancement provides its services primarily through facilitated parenting discussion groups. The groups are generally weekly drop-in sessions open to all parents interested in learning more about parenting. The groups are generally free of charge.

Open play times are available on Mondays and Fridays from 9-12noon for parents and their young children to enjoy in our childcare space.

History:
Family Enhancement began approximately 30 years ago as a group of parents who wanted to come together and talk about parenting issues. We have evolved to become a preventative, strength-based source of parenting information and classes for Dane County families.
