Wisconsin Youth Company exists so that the children of Wisconsin benefit from communities that nurture them, at a sustainable cost. 1)There are safe and secure places to be a child outside home and school. 2)Caring adult role models regularly interact with children. 3)Children value themselves, others, and their environment. 4)There is encouragement and support for community engagement. 5)Resources are available for children to explore and pursue their individual interests. 6)Resources are available for children's educational support and enrichment.

Description:
Wisconsin Youth Company, Inc. provides many youth programs which include:

• AFTER SCHOOL, with 25 sites in schools in Madison, Waunakee, Mt. Horeb, Stoughton and Middleton. AFTER SCHOOL provides before and after school care to children ages 5-11.
• AFTER SCHOOL summer camp programs provide day camps for children ages 5-11.
• Middle School U provides summer enrichment programming for youth ages 11-14.
• Wander Wisconsin is a summer overnight camping adventure program for children ages 8-15.
• Generation Tours is an intergenerational travel tour program for families, grandparents and children.
• Each year we host a community wide special event called Celebrating Youth! which showcases positive youth development in the area. This free public event features youth performances, exhibits by area youth organizations and non-profits, and many hands-on activities for children and families.
• Our newest program is the Wisconsin Youth and Family Center which offers after school programming for children in the Glacier Creek/West Middleton school district areas.



History:
The Wisconsin Youth Company is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1974 to provide school age children with supervised recreational and informal educational programs. Wisconsin Youth Company has become a leader in after-school and camp programs throughout Dane and Waukesha counties.
