Angel's Wish is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing animal overpopulation, rehoming companion animals, and raising awareness of animal welfare issues in South Central Wisconsin.
Description:
Angel's Wish is a non-profit, 501c3 agency, staffed entirely by volunteers. We do not maintain a shelter, but instead use volunteer foster homes to provide a less-stressful environment until our animals find new homes. We actively seek out new adoptive homes via our website, Petfinder.com, and through adoption events at our adoption center, at Mound's Petfood Warehouse, PETsMART East, and PETsMART West. We promote spaying/neutering of companion animals to help reduce pet overpopulation, and practice neuter before adoption. We also provide microchipping to the public to help lost animals find their way home.
History:
Lois Lawrence, a founding member of Angel's Wish, once rescued a kitten from a construction site. Weak with starvation, dehydration, and a severe upper respiratory infection, neither veterinary treatment nor Lois' love and care could save the kitten from the effects of that hot June day. Angel died that night in Lois' arms. We believe that Angel's Wish would have been that no other animal be subjected to pain, suffering, abandonment or neglect.

Overall Experience
A rewarding experience
 |
We've been unable to help other than financially, with gifts of food and comfort accessories for Angel's Wish housing centers. But our reward were two wonderful kittens that have grown into loving delightful cats, that reward us daily. We want their efforts to continue, so that they will be there if we and when we need them again. posted by cvwrails on September 9, 2003 |
