Informational Table Representatives staff displays provide farmers market participants with written and verbal information describing Heifer Internationals mission, values and approach designed to end hunger while enhancing the environment's of there project partners around the world. Our previous experiences at the farmers market suggest that approximately 1/3 of individuals that approach the Heifer table are existing Heifer supporter's(donors or volunteers) and are excited to see Heifer participate in the market. Another 1/3 of individuals have heard of Heifer and are looking for more specific information on Heifer's mission and programs. The remaining 1/3 of individuals that approach the table have not heard of Heifer and are interested in gathering a general overview of the organization. Heifer provides a display table, chairs, display board, written materials, promotional buttons, stickers, and erasers to be given away free of charge at the table.
Volunteers are asked to be present at a Saturday farmers market of there choosing from between approximately 8:00a.m. and 1:00p.m. with the starting and ending times being flexible.
