Overall Experience
Tour de Cure is WONDERFUL
 |
I have been volunteering for the Tour de Cure for the past 4 years. The ADA staff is wonderful and supportive. The Planning Committee is great to work with. The volunteer team is an extraordinary group of people. The event is so organized and fun. There is entertainment, food and great people.
We have made it our "official" family volunteer day. The event has helped to bring my family closer together, while doing something good for others. posted by green_ized on November 4, 2005 |
Overall Experience
Great energy! I love the team working together to create great events the the community enjoys and raises money for research, educations, and fantastic events!

I started volunteering before the Tour de Cure in April and there was a lot to be done! I helped make sure all the bins were filled for the rest stops for this event that attracted a few hundred riders. I also called former team captains to remind them to register. A lot of the volunteering was pr, media relations and logistics. The market manager is great and has a ton of energy. This organization is very organized and I have gained lots of knowledge on what it takes to organize a local event that has a huge impact on a national level and is health related! I am going into the health field and have felt that this has been a great experience. I enjoyed it so much that I started working there part time! posted by scaplis on June 3, 2005 |
