At Family Enhancement, child care volunteers provide a safe, stimulating and warm environment for young children while we facilitate active-learning opportunities for parents and children alike. Volunteers should enjoy spending time with children and should be able to attend to the diverse needs of many children of varying ages. Volunteers are expected to be active playing with children, reading, or assisting with an activity. Taking advantage of structured games and learning opportunities in every day play has been proven to have a significant impact on early childhood cognitive, social, and emotional development. Volunteers are a vital part of Family Enhancement and are key in assisting us in providing these services. Many volunteers find their work to be positive, rewarding and fulfilling experiences.
Volunteers are encouraged to commit to an extended period of time (preferrably a minimum of 6 months) with our agency as the children can get attached and it is important to us that these established relationships are maintained and fostered as much as possible. Training is provided to ensure high-quality childcare and support for our participants. This opportunity is sponsored by: Family Enhancement
