Evening Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver hot, nutritious meals to homebound older and disabled adults in Madison and the surrounding area.
Volunteers typically commit to deliver on a given night once a week or every other week. Meals are picked up from various convenient locations between 4 and 4:30p, and meals are generally delivered by 6p.
Greatest need in NE Madison and Sun Prairie, but routes available in all areas of coverage. Volunteers deliver meals in the area most convenient to them, to save on travel time and expenses.
This is a great opportunity for friends, couples, families and corporate groups! Ask about "adopt-a-Route."
(Substitute volunteers also needed. This is a good option if your schedule varies a lot).
Volunteers must provide own transportation/vehicle. Valid ID and auto insurance also required. This opportunity is sponsored by: Independent Living, Inc.
