On an ongoing basis the Poison Prevention and Education Center receives requests for programs. These could include speaking to adults or children from preschool to high school. It also involves providing displays at health fairs. I sometimes need helpers for these programs. Dates and times vary, as does the time commitment/program. Call 608-265-8160 to check on possible programs. Volunteers will receive a brief training to understand the functions of a poison center, as well as assistance in program presentation. Students-elderly are welcome to join me. This opportunity is sponsored by: UW Hospital & Clinics Poison Prevention and Education Center
