Visit (or call) older adults in their homes. These people are lonely and isolated. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring warmth and joy into an older person's life. Many Elder Friends say that they feel that they receive more than they give. Many friendships have resulted from these assignments.
- Must go through two-day training. Next class is September 11 & 12, 2007.
- Must pass security screening ( two references and criminal history check.
- Must like working with older adults, maintain confidentiality, be a good listener, have respect for other persons, be non-judgemental.
