Bridge/Lake Point/Waunona Neighborhood Center seeks volunteers interested in working with our Elementary After School Program. BLW After School provides recreation and enrichment opportunities for at risk, low-income elementary aged students. We are currently looking for volunteers interested in helping/tutoring kids with homework. Volunteers are very beneficial during this time as our participants enjoy working one on one or in small groups. We ask that volunteers stay for at least one hour during our scheduled homework time. Those interested in volunteering more time are encourage to assist throughout program. We require all volunteers to pass a background check before working with participants. Traveling from the west: From the Beltline, take the Southtowne Rd exit. Travel east on W. Broadway. Take W. Broadway to Bridge Street. Take a left on to Bridge St. From Bridge St. take a left on to Lake Point Dr. The center is located at 1917 Lake Point Dr.
From the east: Take the Monona Dr. exit. Turn left on to W. Broadway. Travel west on W. Broadway until you reach Bridge St. Take a right onto Bridge St. From Bridge St., take a left on to Lake Point Dr. |

Well, I have never volunteered and I am not an organization..But I do love where you center is located. It gives the kids in our neighborhood somewhere to go...something to do. Positive people and role models to look forward to see besides on t.v.Thank You.
