Our mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
Description:
We offer special programs in areas of leadership, science, technology, team building, character building, health, outdoor explorations, arts, contemporary issues, community service, specialized innovative training, group experiences, and high adventure outings.
History:
Founded in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low, this organization held the goal of bringing girls out of isolated home environments and into community service and the open air. Today, Girl Scouts of the USA has a membership of nearly four million girls and adults, with more than 50 million women in the U.S. who are Girl Scout alumnae. From our willingness to tackle important societal issues, to our commitment to diversity and inclusiveness—Girl Scouts is dedicated to every girl, everywhere.
