Our mission is to establish and build a rescue facility that will uphold the highest standards of care and respect for exotic animals in need of a secure permanent home, creating a public awareness center to be utilized as an educational tool.
Description:
Tigers for Tomorrow (TFT) is a 501 (c) 3 not for profit organization, that provides a last stop sanctuary for exotic animals. We specialize in exotic cats, lions and tigers but we will not turn away other exotic animals in need. We are developing the property into an environmental center and park, and also plan in the near future to build eco-lodges/cabins on the new preserve in Alabama.
History:
Tigers For Tomorrow Exotic Animal Preserve, Inc. was founded in Florida in July of 1999, for the sole purpose of creating a safe haven for exotic animals in need of a permanent home. The vision began to take form when a small group of animal activists decided to work together to remove Exotic Animals from harms way. They had all observed the cruel consequences of the unregulated breeding & selling of exotics, and were determined to work to have these practices regulated, and to save as many needy, abused, and unwanted animals as possible. Founding Board Members Susan Steffens and David Brocklebank, applied for TFT’s Federal 501 (c) 3 Non - Profit status, and were granted that status in October of 1999. Since then, Tigers For Tomorrow has implemented an aggressive public awareness campaign with hopes of raising enough capitol… 1.) - to provide refuge to exotic animals already on our waiting list, and, 2.) - to expand into a full Environmental Education Center for our community and it’s children. Due to continual hurricane threats and damage, we secured 140 acres in north eastern Alabama and merged with a Sanctuary called Bluegrass Farms Wildlife Sanctuary. We opened it to the public in 2006 as Tigers For Tomorrow at UNTAMED MOUNTAIN.
