The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its congressional charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

We are a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers. We provide much needed services to the people of our community. Some examples are: Blood Services, Health & Safety Services, Armed Forces Emergency Services, Disaster Services, Community Education and Seasonal Utility Assistance.
History:
The Etowah County Chapter was chartered on November 3, 1917. It is part of the American National Red Cross. The present location is 405 South First Street, Gadsden, AL.
